Create grooms using groomable splines

 
 
 

Use the brush-based grooming tools to create beards, stubble, crew-cut hair style, and short fur. For long- and medium-length hair, use default splines. See Create grooms with default splines.

  1. Add groomable splines to geometry surfaces.
  2. Use the Grooming brushes to style and pose the splines.
  3. Preview generated primitives as default splines.
  4. Continue shaping the default spline versions of the primitives by:
    NoteGroomable splines can only be shaped by the Groom brushes.
  5. Use PTEX maps to define hair lines and hair parts.
  6. (option) Use Modifiers to add effects to hair, such AimWire to add dynamics, or Wind.
  7. Render the hair groom.
