Control primitives using sliders and expressions

You can use slider controls and expressions to modify and generate values for primitive and Modifier attributes. You can use any combination of expressions and slider control to specify how primitives appear and behave. For example, you set a primitive's Length using a slider control then set its Width using an expression. See Expressions overview.

NoteYou can also use PTEX maps to drive attribute values, see Control primitives with PTEX maps.
  1. In the Create XGen Description window, select options for the following:
    • What kind of Primitives are made by this Description ?.
    • Generate the Primitives
  2. For Control the Primitives by, select Using Attributes controlled by Expressions.
