Chapter 5, Getting Familiar with Your Workspace |
Each preset has a predefined layout composed of one or more viewports and populated with one or more views, such as Players, browsers, and/or the Tool Options area.
A viewport is simply a container where you drop a view. You can modify a viewport's layout using the Layout icon in the taskbar. Like most graphical applications containing viewports or windows, you can place the cursor over a viewport border and drag to change its size--see About the Taskbar.
You can access all available views from the Views tab using the Gate UI and then dragging a view into a viewport.
Note: You cannot undo a drag view operation.
Hint: If you like to frequently add or remove a specific view to your workspace, you can add it to the Pick List for even faster access.
A view can be a view where you work on or view your compositions, or a browser where you work with files. The following views are available:
View | Description |
Player | Lets you play a composition. The options for the Player determine what appears in the Player--see Player. |
Schematic | Lets you build the dependency graph for the composition--see Schematic. |
