Use the modifier to clump splines toward the guide positions. See Create clumping maps.
NoteAll modifiers must higher in the list than other modifiers. XGen restricts you from moving other XGen modifiers above modifiers. One exception to this is that the modifier can be placed anywhere in the list.

-
Controls the strength of the modifiers effect on the primitives. You can use to load a map that specifies how areas of the mesh surface are affected by the modifier.
-
-
Sets the amount of the clumping effect applied to the spline primitives.
-
-
Lets you scale the magnitude of the effect along the spline length at specified points, starting at the spline root (left end of the curve, indicated with an
) to its tip (right side of the curve, indicated by a ).
-
-
Sets the amount the clump primitives volumize prior to clumping.
creates volume in the clump so they can resist compression. Use this on small clumps.
-
-
Lets you vary the clumping effect on a per-primitive basis. Negative values decrease the effect, while positive increase it.
-
-
Sets the blending of the clumping effect between neighboring clumps.
-
-
The amount to scale the copy by at each point along the curve.
-
-
Lets you vary the on a per-primitive basis. Negative values decrease the effect, while positive values increase it.
-
-
Sets the amount that each primitive in a clump is cut.
The value is based on the length of the primitive. A value of 0.1 cuts the primitives by 10 percent of their length. This value
can also be based on an expression.
-
-
Sets the amount of noise effect added to each clump.
-
-
Lets you scale the amount of noise effect applied at each point along the curve.
-
-
Sets the frequency of noise per clump.
-
-
Set the percentage of how much each clump's noise should correlate to its neighboring clumps.
-
-
A per-clump value used to orient the following effects.
-
-
Sets the amount to flatten clumps.
-
-
Lets you scale the amount of applied at each point along the curve.
-
-
Sets offset distance between a clump and its clump guide, which allows space for the to produce coils and spirals.
-
-
Lets you scale the amount of applied at each point along the curve.
-
-
Sets the number of curls per-clump.
-
-
The amount to scale the number of curls by at each point along the curve per clump. Lets you scale the amount of applied at each point along the curve.
-
-
Displays the colors of the clump maps in the primitive to let you see which hairs belong to which clump.
-
-
Use this option to flag CV attributes you have specified to use on the clump
-
-
Opens thewindow, which lets you create a clumping map using the Modifier settings.
-
-
Lets you preview the clumping guides.
-
-
Open the window, which lets you export the clump guides as Maya curves.
