Save a modifier
You can save a modifier, including it attribute settings, to a .xgfx modifier file. Use.xgfx files to transfer or reuse a modifier in same the Description or other Descriptions. Modifier files only contain information
about the modifier attributes. They do not save information that the modifier uses by referencing it from other locations.
NoteLoading a modifier onto a Description that is bound to polygon mesh with different topology than the one you saved it from
may not have desired results.
- Under the tab, do one of the following:
- In the toolbar, click the icon then select from the menu that appears.
- the modifier you want to save, then select from the menu that appears.
- Browse to the location you want to save the file.
Load a modifier
- Under the tab, click the icon in the toolbar.
- Select one of the following:
- to load a modifier file from the directory specified by the ${XGEN_LOCATION} environment variable.
- to load a modifier file from the directory specified by the ${XGEN_ROOT} environment variable.
- to load a modifier file from the directory specified by the ${HOME} environment variable.
The selected modifier file loads with its saved attribute values.
