Use the Degree and Spans options in the control panel to quickly change the degree of or number of spans in the picked curves and surfaces.

1. Pick the object.
2. Edit the Degree or Spans fields in the control panel by typing a new value in the field, or choosing a value from the drop-down menu.
   

   Alias shows the object with the new settings. This lets you check the effect of the change on existing evaluation locators.

   The deviation between the old and new geometry is also displayed on the prompt line.

3. Do any of the following:
   • Click Accept to use the changed object.
   • Click Cancel to return to the original object.
