Showcase has a simple AJAX-compatible web server built into it. AJAX stands for Asynchronous JavaScript and XML and is a framework for developing dynamic web applications that can operate without waiting for a Web server to respond before doing something.

This built-in Web server allows you to create compelling graphical applications or simple text interfaces that can drive Showcase from any device that can run a Web browser and connect to a computer running Showcase. The remote client must be connected to the Web and be enabled for Flash and XML, but does not have to meet the Autodesk Showcase system requirements.
