Bridge polygon components with the Modeling Toolkit

The Modeling Toolkit Bridge tool lets you construct a bridge between pairs of faces.

To bridge between faces

  1. Select two regions of faces on the mesh.
NoteThe regions must be facing each other and the number of components in each region must be the same.
  2. In the Mesh Editing Tools section of the Modeling Toolkit window, select Bridge to activate the Bridge tool.

Maya creates a bridge of faces between the components.

  3. (Optional) Click-drag to adjust the number of connecting divisions (faces).
Tip You can adjust one of the other Bridge Options by selecting it from the marking menu ( + + ), and then click-dragging in your scene.
