Chapter 1, Managing Projects |
You can create, open, or remove a project through the Project Browser. You can only have one project open at a time. Once you create a project, the name of the project is automatically appended with .txproject. When you are finished working on a project, simply save it, and then exit and start Toxik to open a different project--see Project Browser.
Note: You cannot open a project if you are currently using Toxik.
Start Toxik.
The Project Browser is displayed.
Select the New tab.
In the Folders pane, select a folder to store your project.
In the Project Name field, enter a name for your project.
The Project Destination field displays the path of your project. The name of your project is appended with .txproject.
Click the New button.
Set the project preferences--see Setting Project Preferences.
Exit Toxik (Ctrl + Q) if you are currently in the application.
Start Toxik.
The Project Browser displays a list of recent projects in the Recent tab.
Do one of the following:
Select a project and click Open.
Right-click a project and select Open Project. If your project is not listed, select the Existing tab and find your project. Select the project and click Open.
Exit Toxik (Ctrl + Q) if you are currently in the application.
Start Toxik.
The Project Browser displays a list of recent projects in the Recent tab.
Right-click the name of a project and select Remove Project.
Things to Remember
You cannot remove a project if you are currently using Toxik.
Removing a project only removes it from the Recent projects list; it does not delete the project from your hard drive.
