Creating, Opening or Removing a Project

You can create, open, or remove a project through the Project Browser. You can only have one project open at a time. Once you create a project, the name of the project is automatically appended with .txproject. When you are finished working on a project, simply save it, and then exit and start Toxik to open a different project--see Project Browser.

Note: You cannot open a project if you are currently using Toxik.

To create a project:
  1. Start Toxik.

    The Project Browser is displayed.

  2. Select the New tab.

  3. In the Folders pane, select a folder to store your project.

  4. In the Project Name field, enter a name for your project.

    The Project Destination field displays the path of your project. The name of your project is appended with .txproject.

  5. Click the New button.

  6. Set the project preferences--see Setting Project Preferences.

To open an existing project:
  1. Exit Toxik (Ctrl + Q) if you are currently in the application.

  2. Start Toxik.

    The Project Browser displays a list of recent projects in the Recent tab.

  3. Do one of the following:

To remove a project:
  1. Exit Toxik (Ctrl + Q) if you are currently in the application.

  2. Start Toxik.

    The Project Browser displays a list of recent projects in the Recent tab.

  3. Right-click the name of a project and select Remove Project.
