Chapter 2, Navigating and Browsing
Project Browser



The Project Browser lets you create new projects, as well as open and delete existing projects. The Project Browser consists of three tabs: Recent, Existing, and New--see Creating, Opening or Removing a Project.

Note: The Project Browser is only available when you start Toxik.

Recent Tab Top

The Recent tab displays a list of the most recently used projects, and contains the following main areas and buttons.

Item Description
Name Name of the project.
Path The location of the projects.
Date The date the project was last saved.
Exit Exit the Toxik application.
Open Open the selected project.


Existing Tab Top

The Existing tab displays all existing projects, and contains the following main areas and buttons.

Item Description
Folders list Contains all of the folders that your installation references. There are two top level folders: Library (all of the projects, users, and search queries for the current installation) and Plug-ins (all of the tools and views available for the current installation).
Folder contents area Displays the contents of the selected folder. You can right-click a column heading to show or hide attributes. You can also add your own attributes.
Common navigation buttons Use these buttons to navigate through folders and files--see Navigating in the Browser.
Recent View a list of recently viewed folder folders. Place the cursor over a visited folder and click its name to return to that folder.
Bookmarks Lets you access bookmarks and manage them--see Using Bookmarks.
Exit Exit the Toxik application.
Open Open the selected project.


New Tab Top

The New tab creates new projects, and contains the following main areas and buttons.
