To adjust retargeting parameters
- Select Skeleton > HumanIK from
the main menu bar to open the HumanIK window.
- From the HumanIK window
menu bar, select Retarget > Select Retarget Settings
Node.
The retargeting settings
display on the HIKProperty2State tab in the Attribute
Editor.
NoteThe Property2State
node also includes many other HIK solver attributes such as Solving and Floor
Contact that do not apply to the retargeting process.
Those attributes are beyond the scope of this documentation.
- Expand the Retarget Specific heading.
This section contains
attributes that give you finer control over the retargeting between
your source and target characters. See
Retarget Specific attributes for
more information.
- Expand the Reach heading,
then drag the slider or type a value in the numerical field for
each body part you want to adjust.
Use the following guidelines
when manipulating the Reach sliders:
- At 100%, the target body part reaches
fully toward the source body part.
- At 50%, the target body part averages
between the body part of the source and the character’s position.
- At 0%, the effect on the body part is
the same as disabling the option.
NoteThe Retarget
Specific section also includes Pull and Resist attributes. Adjusting
these values is an advanced technique and for normal retargeting, adjusting
the default values is not recommended.
