Getting Help

To view the help topics about commands or object model, refer to the Commands and Scripting Reference section.

To get help on a specific element (command, method, or property), you can place the cursor on that element in the editing pane and press F1. The Help dialog appears as shown in the following figure.

The Help dialog might not appear because of the following reasons:

• The element is misspelled.

• The cursor is on a keyword of the scripting language and not on an element.

• The element is not licensed for the installed version of Softimage.

• The element is part of a custom plug-in and not a native Softimage element.
