Shader Family: Environment

Output: Color

This shader is the same as the mib_lookup_spherical shader, but accepts six textures mapped on an infinite cube. This is useful for environment shaders.

Name

The name of the shader node displayed in the render tree. Enter any name you like, or leave the default.

point

The view location.

dir

The direction to sample. If connected to the mib_texture_vector shader, a select value of -10 is useful. If this is the null vector, the ray direction is used.

size

The size of the box.

tex_mx, tex_px, tex_my, tex_py, tex_mz, tex_pz

The six textures to be used for the cube faces:

left (mx), right (px), bottom (my), top (py), back (or yon) (mz), and front (or hither) (pz).

"p" and "m" stand for plus and minus.
