Delete or duplicate (copy) objects

This topic describes how to delete and un-delete objects, as well as how to create multiple duplicates (copies) of objects.

To delete objects

  1. Select an object.
  2. Press the Delete key, or select Edit > Delete.

To un-delete objects, use the Showcase undo function (Ctrl+Z).

To duplicate objects

  1. Select an object.
  2. Select Edit > Duplicate.

The duplicated object appears on top of the original object. Press H to use the transform handle to move it away.

    Note

If you plan to re-import a model you have duplicated, use the Organizer to first delete its duplicate geometry.

  3. To create another duplicate, select Edit > Duplicate again. The object is duplicated a second time and the previous transform repeated on the second duplicate.

Repeating duplications with transformations is an easy way to equally space copies of an object, or create patterns of objects in the scene.
