Applying a shader to a model

 
 
 

Apply various types of shaders directly to models to obtain different effects.

To apply a shader to a model:

  1. In the Resources window, click the Asset browser tab.
  2. In the Asset browser, expand the Shading Elements folder and click the Shaders folder.

    The Asset browser displays by default a thumbnail view of the shaders.

  3. Drag a Shader asset from the Asset browser onto a model in the Viewer window.

  4. Select an option from the context menu.
    Context menu option Description
    Replace All Replace All replaces all shaders applied to the object with the selected shader.
    Replace by Type Replace by Type replaces all shaders of a certain type with the selected shader.
    Append Append adds the selected shader to shaders already applied to the object.
