The Grease Pencil offers a clean and non-destructive way to draw 2D sketches on your monitor at various points in time. You can sketch poses and arcs of movement, or compose shots and backdrops. You can create a single Grease Pencil sketch to mark up a shot, or create a whole sequence of images and playblast to produce a short hand-drawn movie. See Draw on the scene view with Grease Pencil.
The Grease Pencil sketch you add to the scene is actually a type of image plane connected to the active camera (perspective or orthographic), so your sketch stays in place if you tumble the scene. You can add one Grease Pencil sketch per frame in any perspective or orthographic camera.
