You can unload an active representation when you no longer need to see that object represented in the scene. Unloading the active representation does not remove the representation from the assemblyDefinition node, so you can still select the representation to make it active again.
To unload an active representation
 -click in the Outliner or scene view and select Scene Assembly from the menu that appears.
-click in the Outliner or scene view and select Scene Assembly from the menu that appears. 
            The reference is unloaded and no longer displays in the scene.
