Activate the Modeling Toolkit

When the Modeling Toolkit is activated, Maya uses the toolkit's unique selection and transformation tools instead of its native toolset.

If you want to keep the Modeling Toolkit active throughout your Maya session, you can enable the Auto-Activate Modeling Toolkit (Options > Auto-Activate Modeling Toolkit) option.

To activate the Modeling Toolkit

1. Do one of the following in the Modeling Toolkit window:
   • Select Options > Activate Modeling Toolkit.
   • Click the power button .
   • Select any of the Selection modes and tools or Transform tools.

To deactivate the Modeling Toolkit

1. Do one of the following in the Modeling Toolkit window:
   • Select Options > Deactivate Modeling Toolkit.
   • Click the power button.
