Delete many tiny poly islands

Meshes created from scan data often include many tiny poly islands surrounding the main parts of the model. You can clean up the imported meshes by removing these islands in Mudbox.

To delete many tiny poly islands

  1. Select all the main pieces of mesh you want to keep.
  2. Select Edit > Invert Face Selection (hotkey: Ctrl + Shift + I).

(The tiny poly islands not connected to the main meshes are now selected.)

  3. Press Delete.
