nMesh > Create nCloth

Makes the selected polygon mesh an nCloth object.

nMesh > Create nCloth >

Opens the Create nCloth Options window. This window lets you set the options for creating an nCloth object.

Local Space Output

Produces the most predictable and desirable nCloth behavior because both the input and output meshes of the nCloth are affected by the Maya® Nucleus solver. In addition, the input and output meshes share the same transform node, so the nCloth input mesh moves and follows its output mesh.

World Space Output

Produces results best suited for exporting the nCloth cache because only the output mesh of the nCloth is affected by the Maya Nucleus solver. In addition, the input and output meshes do not share the same transform node, so the nCloth input mesh does not move and follow its output mesh.

Solver

Specifies which Maya Nucleus solver the nCloth object belongs to. Select a solver from the drop-down list (existing Maya Nucleus solvers are listed), or select Create New Solver to create a new Maya Nucleus solver for the new nCloth object.
