Create grooms using default splines

Use default splines to groom all styles of hair and fur including long, short, and curly. For crew-cuts and stubble, create a groom using groomable splines. See Create grooms using groomable splines.

  1. Add default splines to the geometry.
  2. Place the splines on the polygon surface by:

    Preview the generated primitives.

  3. Control the shape of primitives by:
  4. Use PTEX maps to define hair lines and hair parts.
  5. (option) Use Modifiers to add effects to hair, such AimWire to add dynamics, or Wind
  6. Render the hair groom.

You can use a similar workflow to add sphere and card primitives to polygon surfaces.
