Delete nCache clips

Note

Deleting nCache clips also deletes their corresponding cache nodes and Attribute Editor tabs.

To delete nCache clips

  1. In the scene view, select the object whose cache clips you want to delete.
  2. In the Trax Editor, select List > Load Selected Characters.

All the current object’s caches appear as clips in the track view.

  3. Select the nCache clips you want to delete and press the key on your keyboard.

The selected clips are unloaded from the Trax Editor, their corresponding cache nodes and Attribute Editor tabs are deleted, and their source cache files on disk are detached from their object.

To delete all nCaches

  1. Select the object for which you want to delete all caches.
  2. Depending on the object type, do one of the following:

All of your object’s nCache Attribute Editor tabs, nodes, and corresponding cache clips are deleted. Whether or not your object’s cache files on disk are also deleted depends on your current Delete nCache Options and Delete Fluid Cache Options window settings.

To delete nCache frames

  1. Select the object from which you want to delete an individual cache frame or a range of frames.
  2. In the Attribute Editor, enable the nCache you want to delete frames from and disable all other caches.
  3. Depending on the object type, do one of the following:

The frame or range of frames specified in the Delete nCache Frames Options or Delete Fluid Cache Frames Options window are deleted from your object’s cache. The gap in your nCache resulting from the deletion of frames is interpolated linearly.
