Colour Matching
 
 
 

Use the Colour Correction soft effect with the Triptych Player for interactive colour matching. You can view up to three different sources in the Triptych Player windows and view the result of the colour match interactively.

To use colour matching:

  1. From the EditDesk, display the Player.
  2. Select Triptych from the Player Type box.

  3. Move the positioners over the elements you want to use for the colour match. See Using the Triptych Player with Vertical Editing and Using the Triptych Player for Colour Matching.
  4. Select the element you want to colour match.
  5. Click the CC soft effect button (or press Alt+4 from the EditDesk record timeline).
  6. Double-click the element or click E beside the soft effect button.
  7. Click Curves in the Colour Correction Editor.

    The Curves menu appears.

  8. Click the Source colour pot.

  9. Plot the colour you want to modify by selecting it with the eyedrop cursor.
  10. Plot the match colour in Dest 1 or Dest 2.
  11. Enable the channel buttons to specify the Match parameters.
    Enable: To:
    Channel Match Modify selected channels by the same amount during the match. When disabled, each channel is modified independently.
    RGB Match using all colour channels.
    Red Match using only the Red channel.
    Green Match using only the Green channel.
    Blue Match using only the Blue channel.
  12. Click either Match 1 or Match 2.

    The Match curves update. You can fine-tune the result by adjusting the curve handles.
