Naming Items on the EditDesk
You
can name clips, the Source Area, the Record Area, the EditDesk,
the EditDesk Library, layers, and elements.
See
Track Basics.
You can also select multiple
clips in the Source Area and rename them all with sequential numbers.
To name an item:
- Select the item.
- Select the item type in the Item box.
For example, to name a clip, select “Clip” in
the Item box.
- In the Name field, type the name you
want to use.
To rename multiple clips with sequential
numbers:
- In the Source Area, select the clips
you want to rename. Ctrl-click
each proxy or drag a box around the proxies.
- Select Clip from the Item box.
A numeric field appears
next to the Name field.
- Enter the number you want the sequence
to start with.
- Optional: Type a name for the clips in
the Name field.
- Press Enter.
The clips are renamed
and given a sequential number. The assigned numbers increment based
on the selection order; the sequential number is appended to the
clip name if one exists.
