Removing Conflicts Between Clips in Timecode or Keycode

When outputting multiple clips in a single pass, you may need to change the timecode or keycode of the clips so they do not overlap. If your timecode or keycode overlap when you attempt to output multiple clips, you will receive an error message.

To remove conflicts in timecode between clips:

  1. In the clip library, select a single clip or press Ctrl and select multiple clips.
NoteClips are sequential, based on the order of selection in the clip library.
  2. From the Tools menu, select Change TC/KC.
  3. From the Change option box, select New Start & Mode.
  4. In the Change Target box, specify whether you are modifying the source timecode, the record timecode, or both. See The Change Timecode Tool.
  5. In the Start Timecode field, enter the start timecode for the first clip.
  6. From the Timecode option box, select Sequence.

This ensures that clip timecode does not overlap.

  7. Click Change and confirm the operation.

    Timecode is changed accordingly.
