The following describes know limitations related to installation and licensing.
(Windows 64 bit) FLEXnet License Finder fails to find network license
When running Mudbox on a Windows 64 bit operating system using a network license the FLEXnet License Finder window opens to allow you to identify a suitable license server. This occurs when the client’s license file doesn’t exist, the server’s lmgrd is not running, or the license server cannot be found.
Despite entering the server information in the required fields, Mudbox does not launch successfully and multiple error messages are displayed in succession.
Workaround: Manually edit the client license file on the client machine and add the license server name. For example:
SERVER mudbox-licenseserver 0USE_SERVER
By default this file is found at: <drive>:\FlexLM\Mudbox.lic.
Mudbox fails to find network license on Mac OSX network license servers
The Autodesk network license server may fail to run correctly after a system restart of the Mac OSX operating system. As a result, Mudbox may fail to find a network license because the lmgrd daemon may not restart automatically.
Workaround: Manually restart the lmgrd daemon. for more information, refer to the Mudbox 2011 Installation Licensing Guide that was included with your Mudbox DVD or here: http://www.autodesk.com/mudbox-docs
