cache_fluidShape
nodes can only be used to set the initial state of a fluid and to
play back fluid caches created using Maya 2008 (or earlier versions).

Fluid Cache Attributes
- Cache File Name

Specifies the name of
a fluid cache file (non nCache).
This field is read-only
when the current fluid has a One File per Frame (OFpF)
or Segmented cache.
- Start Time

Displays the start time
for the current (non nCache) fluids cache. This field
is read-only.
- End Time
-
Displays the end time
for the current (non nCache) fluids cache. If your
fluids cache is One File per Frame, the Start
Time and End Times for your fluids cache
are the same. This field is read-only.
Sampling Type
Oversampling and undersampling
specify how often Maya calculated the fluid simulation per frame.
These Fields are read-only.

An integer value for
the Over Sampling or Under Sampling. This field is read-only.
Cache Contents at Current
Time
Displays which of the
fluids’ attributes have been included in the current (non nCache)
disk cache file. These check-boxes are read-only.
Caching Node
- Disk Cache

Displays the name of
the current (non nCache) fluid disk cache file.
This field is read-only.
- Copy Cache File Locally
-
Lets you turn on or off
the creation of the local copies for any (non nCache) fluids
playback cache file. This is useful if you are low on disk space
or are using a network for distributed rendering.
WarningWhen the Copy
Cache File Locally attribute is off, you cannot append
or truncate your fluids cache.
