Intersecting and trimming multiple surfaces

We have improved the selection of multiple surfaces when intersecting as well as the selection of trim regions when trimming multiple surfaces simultaneously.

Intersecting

When using Surface Edit > Create CurvesOnSurface > Intersect , you can now use a selection box to select the second set of surfaces (after clicking the Go button). Previously, only the first set of surfaces was selectable that way.

Surfaces from the first set are automatically excluded from the second set.

Trimming

When using Surface Edit > Trim > Trim Surface , you can now use a selection box to select multiple trim regions across multiple surfaces.

  1. Choose the Trim Surface tool.
  2. Select several surfaces to trim using a selection box, such as the 12 tubes in the image below.
  3. Box select all the regions that you want to keep (or discard).

Trim region selectors are placed on all the valid surfaces within the region of the box in the view. You can modify the view between box selections to capture all the needed regions.

  4. Click the Keep, Discard, or Divide button.

    All the surfaces are trimmed.

NoteThe trim region selectors now always appear on mouse up, even when using a single click. Consequently, a selector can only be moved by clicking down on it again after it is created.
