Moves the view up, down, left or right, but does not change the direction in which the camera is pointing.

This type of movement is also called tracking. When the Pan tool is active, the cursor displays white arrows indicating the direction you can move the view in.

Holding down the mouse buttons allows greater control over the type of movement.
