Wherever we mention that the default value for an option has changed, this may not be visible to you if you are using existing user preferences from an older version of Alias.

User preferences for Windows XP are located in C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Autodesk\Alias\UserPrefs2012.

User preferences for Windows Vista and Windows 7 are located in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Alias\UserPrefs2012.

User preferences for Mac OS are located in /Users/<username>/Library/Preferences/Autodesk/Alias/UserPrefs2012.

If the folder does not already exist, it is created the first time Alias2012 launches. The following dialog appears:

Choose Defaults to accept the new default preferences.
