Change the layout of view boxes on the printout
 
 
 

These procedures apply only when the Print Mode is set to Plot Print.

Open the print setup and print windows

  1. Choose File > Print and click the Setup button to open the Print Setup window
  2. In the Print Setup window, click the Viewing tab.

Tumble, track, or dolly the view inside a view box

  1. Move the pointer over the view box in the print window.
  2. Hold + (Windows) or + (Mac), then do any of the following:
    • Drag the to tumble a perspective view.
    • Drag the to track.
    • Drag the to dolly.
      Note

      Different Viewing Type settings restrict some camera moves in certain view boxes. For example, if Viewing Type is Scaling, the scaling factor controls how large objects in orthographic windows appear, so you cannot dolly in on them.

Change the view layout

When Viewing Type is Screen or Screen Scale, the layout of the view boxes is locked to the same layout as the program view windows.

When Viewing Type is Scale or Scale to Fit, do any of the following to change the appearance of the view boxes:

To... Do this
Change the general layout of view boxes. Use the Layout Style pop-up menu.
Change which view appears in a view box. Click inside a view box. Hold + (Windows) or + (Mac).When the view panel appears, click an arrow, top, or bottom icon.
Change the sizes of view rows/columns Drag the handles at the corners of the view boxes.
Change the relative sizes of the view boxes. Drag the handle at the center intersection between the view boxes.
Allow tracking around each view box independently. Turn off Sync Viewing Axis.
