You can use the Particle Collision Event Editor to create and edit events that occur when nParticles collide with other objects. For example, you can make nParticles die, emit new particles, or split into multiple particles when they collide with an nCloth or passive collision object. Creating collision events for nParticles uses the same workflow as creating collision events for Maya classic particles. See nParticles > Particle Collision Event Editor.
