The commands on the Keys menu let you add, remove, slide, or scale keys while you work in either the Curve Editor or the Dope Sheet.
Adds keys in the Curve Editor or Dope Sheet. After activating Insert Keys, click a curve (in Curve Editor) or track (in Dope Sheet) to add a key at that location. Also, in Curve Editor, you can change the value by dragging after you click the curve. For details, see Insert Keys.
Reduces the amount of keys on curves, or in edit keys mode in Dope Sheet. See Reduce Keys .
Moves keys either vertically (in value) or horizontally (in time). See Move Keys .
Moves keys, and adjacent keys slide away to make room for the move. See Slide Keys .
Proportionally increase or decrease the key values (in space, not time). Use in combination with the Scale Value Origin Slider. See Scale Values .

Lets you move and scale keys within a rectangular region. See Region Tool.
When active, affects keys adjacent to a selection set of keys according to a falloff threshold. Works on Curves and Dope Sheet edit keys mode. See Use Soft Select.
Use Soft Select Settings to display the dialog that lets you control the falloff range of the soft selection. Select some keys, then watch the Track View Key window while you adjust the range value. See Soft Selection Settings.

When this is on, keys always snap to frames. When off, you can move keys to sub-frame positions. See Snap Frames .
This command is also available on the Key window right-click menu.
To turn off Isolate Curve, choose the menu command again or simply highlight a different track in the Controller window.
When on, Use Soft Select affects keys adjacent to a selection set of keys according to a falloff threshold. This applies to both Curve Editor keys and Dope Sheet Edit Keys modes.
