Wind Force

This compound generates a force that speeds up particles or simulated objects to a target velocity. This is a directional force with velocity and strength.

Plug this compound's Force output into a Force port on the Add Forces compound.

For more information on the using forces in ICE, see ICE Forces [ICE Guide].

Tasks: Particles/Forces

Output Ports: Force

Wind Speed

The target velocity for the particles or objects. If there are no other forces at work on a particle simulation except wind, particles will eventually reach the speed of the wind's velocity setting which, in some cases, can actually slow down the particle velocity at emission. This is because particles have an initial velocity of their own when they're emitted.

Wind Strength

The strength of the force applied to the particles or objects to get them to the target velocity.

Wind Direction

The direction of the force in XYZ global space. Note that the length of this vector is ignored, only the direction is considered.
