Point Force

This compound repels particles or simulated objects from or attracts them towards a position (point) in space that you define.

Plug this compound's Force output into a Force port on the Add Forces compound.

For more information on the using forces in ICE, see ICE Forces [ICE Guide].

Tasks: Particles/Forces

Output Ports: Force

Force Center

The XYZ position in global space towards which the particles or objects are attracted, or from which they are repelled.

Select Force Direction

The type of force direction to use: Attract or Repel.

  • Attract makes the force attract each particle or object to the defined position in space.

  • Repel pushes the particles or objects away from the position.

Strength

The strength of the force applied to a particle or object to either attract it to or repel it from the position in space.

Enable Cutoff Distance

Toggles the activeness of the Cutoff Distance option.

Cutoff Distance

The maximum distance (in Softimage units) within which the particles or objects are affected by the force. Particles or objects are filtered based on this value.

Strength over Distance Profile

This graph multiplies the strength of the force based on the distance to the defined position in space (Force Center).
