Splitting ShotClips

When you split (cut) a ShotClip, its Sequence and Global time range is divided in to two parts at the position of the playback cursor. However, the camera of the new ShotClip is same as the original ShotClip.

To split ShotClips at the current frame

1. Select one or more ShotClips.
2. Move the playback cursor to where you want to split the ShotClip.
3. Do one of the following:
   • Choose Clip Split at Current Frame from the menu bar or press the N key.

     or

   • Right-click on a ShotClip and choose Split (Current Frame).

   The new ShotClip retains the name of the original ShotClip with an instance number appended to it. You can now use each ShotClip independently.
