Removing Toolbars and Shelves

You can remove toolbars and shelves stored in the user location.

1. Choose View Manage. The Manage Layouts, Views, Shelves, and Toolbars dialog box opens.

2. Check any items you want to remove:

   • Layouts are listed under Layouts.

   • Toolbars, shelves, and custom views are listed under Views.

   • Old-style toolbars (.DSToolbar files) are listed under Toolbars (old).

   When you check and item, its path is displayed so that you can confirm it's the one you want to remove.

3. Click Delete.

   The items are not physically deleted but they are marked for removal. They no longer appear in the View menu and you cannot open them anymore. If any were already open, they will be automatically closed.

   When you exit Softimage, the file extensions are changed to .bak so they won't be detected and loaded when you restart.
