The Render Manager > Scene Render Options
Choose Render > Render > Scene Options from the Render toolbar.
Options: Scene Frame Settings
The Scene Frame Settings options allow you to specify which frames are output when you render your scene. You can specify any one of the following:
Frame Range: renders a specified frame range in the sequence.
Choosing this options requires that you also define the Start and End frames, as well as the Step value (the increment between rendered frames. For example, a Step value of 4 means that every fourth frame is rendered.
Frame Set: renders a specified set of frames (for example: 1,5-10,4,20-39). This method also lets you render partial frames, such as 7.2.
Choosing this options requires that you also define the frame set to render, which you can do in the Set text box.
Timeline: renders all frames in the sequence as defined by the scene's timeline.
The Pass Frames setting allows you to specify which frames are rendered for each pass. You can choose a different option then that used to define the scene's rendered frames. In addition, at the pass-level, you can also select the Skip Frames Skip Already Completed Frames checkbox to skip frames that you have previously rendered.
If you want to render the same frames for all of your passes, make sure that Pass Frames is set to Use Scene Render Options for all passes. See Setting Pass Frames.
