  • Hide members: Members are not displayed. The group/layer/partition setting overrides the View Visibility settings in the members' individual Visibility properties.

  • Show members: Members are displayed. The group/layer/partition setting overrides the View Visibility settings in the members' individual Visibility properties.

  • No effect on members: Members are displayed or not displayed according to the View Visibility settings in their individual Visibility properties. The group/layer/partition does not override the visibility of members.

Render Visibility

Determines whether objects are visible during rendering. Non-renderable objects can still be seen in 3D views according to their View Visibility settings.

  • Hide members: Members are not rendered. The group/layer/partition setting overrides the Render Visibility settings in the members' individual Visibility properties.

  • Show members: Members are rendered. The group/layer/partition setting overrides the Render Visibility settings in the members' individual Visibility properties.

Selectability

Determines whether objects are selectable in the 3D views. Objects are always selectable in explorer and schematic views.

  • Do not allow selecting members: Members are not selectable. The group/layer/partition setting overrides the Selectability settings in the members' individual Visibility properties.

  • Allow selecting members: Members are selectable. The group/layer/partition setting overrides the Selectability settings in the members' individual Visibility properties.

  • No effect on members: Members are selectable or not selectable according to the Selectability settings in their individual Visibility properties. The group/layer/partition does not override the visibility of members.

View Playback Visibility

Determines whether objects are visible in the 3D views during playback. Hiding objects can increase playback speed.

  • Hide members: Members are not displayed during playback. The group/layer/partition setting overrides the View Visibility settings in the members' individual Visibility properties.

  • Show members: Members are displayed during playback. The group/layer/partition setting overrides the View Visibility settings in the members' individual Visibility properties.

  • Same as view visibility: Members are displayed or not displayed during playback according to the View Visibility setting of the group, layer, or partition (above).

  • No effect on members: Members are displayed or not displayed during playback according to the View Visibility settings in their individual Visibility properties. The group/layer/partition does not override the visibility of members.

Animation Ghosting

Determines whether the animation of objects is ghosted in the 3D views. Animation ghosting is sometimes called onion-skinning. For more information about ghosting, see Ghosting Animated Objects [Animation].

  • Do not ghost members: Members are not ghosted. The group/layer/partition setting overrides the Animation Ghosting settings in the members' individual Visibility properties.

  • Ghost members: Members are ghosted. The group/layer/partition setting overrides the Animation Ghosting settings in the members' individual Visibility properties.

  • No effect on members: Members are ghosted or not according to the Animation Ghosting settings in their individual Visibility properties. The group/layer/partition does not override the members' Visibility properties.
