This compound is used inside the Strand Dynamics Framework compound to allow strands to stretch both toward both ends of the strand according to forces and collisions. You can use this node to help create your own custom effect. The Strand Length Constraint and Strand Stiffness compounds can help prevent the strand from stretching too much.

To add this node, drag it into an ICE tree from the \Data\Compounds subdirectory of the Softimage installation location.
