How to create custom properties using the Softimage interface. Custom properties are sets of parameters that you create for your own purpose. However as an alternative to the technique described here, it is often preferrable to use the SDK to create self-installing custom properties — see Custom Properties [SDK Guide].
How to use proxy parameters. Proxy parameters are linked copies of other parameters, either custom or built-in, that you can display and edit in your own custom parameter sets.
