If you start Showcase from the command line, there are various startup options you can specify. For example, you can open
a file at startup using the -file flag, or it may be useful for using Showcase on a kiosk (for example, -headless).
-h, -help - Display descriptions of the available Showcase startup flags.
-v, -version - Display the product version.
-f [string], -file [string] - Load the file on startup.
-fu, -fullscreen - Start in full screen viewing mode, with HUD disabled.
-b, -borderless - Start without main window borders, with HUD disabled.
-he, -headless, -k, -kiosk - Start Showcase in a headless mode, where it just responds to Web server inputs. In this mode, the user will not be able
to interact with Showcase at all without the Web page, including not being able to quit the application.
-li [string], -license [string] - Launch using a particular license. Choices for the string parameter are professional, showcase, or viewer.
-se [string], -session [string] - Join a session in progress, specified by a comma separated string of the format "user,host,port,framelock". The "framelock"
is a boolean value (1 or True) which enables frame locking: the two computers will refresh at the same time if they are also
connected with Nvidia's genlock connectors http://www.nvidia.com/object/IO_10793.html.
-mu [string], -multimachine [string] - Display only a portion of the screen, specified by a comma separated string of the format "number of horizontal tiles,
number of vertical tiles, active horizontal tile (zero based), active vertical tile (zero based), horizontal overlap (>0)
or separation (<0) or none (=0), vertical overlap (>0) or separation (<0) or none (=0).
-loc [string], -location [string] - Ignore the preferences and start Showcase at the specified position with the specified size. This is specified by a comma
separated string of the format "horizontal size (width), vertical size (height), horizontal position (0 at the left edge),
vertical position (0 at the top edge)". For example, -location "200,400,10,20" will create a 200x400 window 10 pixels from the left edge and 20 pixels from the top edge.
-st [string], -style [string] - Start in a specificed visual style. Valid options are those used by the STYLES_EXECUTE message: RealisticNS, RTAS, NPRTech, etc.
-r, -raytracying - Start with Ray Tracing enabled. This is equivalent to -style RTAS.
-s [string], -script [string] - Execute a script.
NoteUse the forward slash character "/" to specify the directory structure of the path to the script, for example: "C:/Users/username/Documents/Autodesk Showcase 2012/scriptName.py".
-n, -noplugins - Do not load any add-ins at startup.
-t [string], -test [string] - Execute a test script and exit.
