Embedded Custom UI

Embedded custom interfaces are web-based, interacting with Showcase through HTML and Showcase messages. Customized interfaces can coexist with the other Showcase controls.

You can display your custom interfaces within Showcase in a Web browser pane in the left, right, top, or bottom area of an open scene. The pane is scrollable and resizable and displays in both Author mode and Presentation mode. You can toggle the display of the custom interface in the scene.

Showcase ships with an unsupported Adobe Flash interface builder sample in the extras\Flash folder that provides tabbed panels to tailor the display of environments, materials, shots, alternatives, and other viewable features. This interface is customizable, so you can configure it to best suit the needs of the people who will be viewing a particular scene. For information on using this interface builder see the accompanying documentation in the extras\Flash folder.

NoteThe Adobe Flash interface builder sample is only present in the 32-bit version of Showcase.
