Program using software messages

Collaboration and configuration (advanced) > Configure the software >

uses Python and XML code to create a network communication model between the software, the DirectConnect software, users, and client machines. This model uses messages to send instructions to the different software components and to elicit user response.

You may need to use particular messages to create your own APIs or commands. For example, you may want to use messages to:

Configure a remote client. See Present a scene from a remote client.
Create a custom user interface. See Add a custom user interface.
