Add a custom user interface

Why customize a scene interface?

You can tailor the Autodesk® Showcase™ software window using an HTML page. You can also add an Adobe® Flash® interface with custom controls, although you don’t need to be a Flash programmer to get started. Instead, you can use a sample customizable panel interface shipped with the software that provides tabbed panels to tailor the display of environments, materials, shots, alternatives, and other viewable features.

By providing customized panels, you can design an interface that best suits the needs of the people who will be viewing a particular scene.

Set up a custom user interface

For details on how to set up and customize a sample Flash interface, refer to the Showcase Customization Documentation, which can be found (in Showcase Professional) under the menu item Help > Showcase Customization Documentation. Within this comprehensive guide is a section call “Creating Custom Interfaces” as well as information on the sample interfaces included with Showcase Professional.

Toggle the custom user interface on and off
