Layout menu

 
 
 

The Layout menu enables you to choose between the predefined Editing, Scripting, or Preview layouts designed for specific tasks, and the custom layouts. By default, the layout is set to Editing.

NoteTo be able to choose a custom layout, you first need to create a custom layout.

You can also use the Layout menu to create, rename, update, and delete layouts.

Create Custom

Lets you make your own MotionBuilder window layout. See Creating, Updating, Renaming, and Deleting a layout.

Auto-update Layout

Lets you automatically save any changes you make to your custom layout. By default, this item is turned on. When Auto-update Layout is enabled, the Update Current Layout menu item is disabled. When Auto-update Layout is disabled, you must use Update Current Layout to manually save any changes to your layout.

Update Current Layout

Lets you change and re-save the current MotionBuilder window layout. See Creating, Updating, Renaming, and Deleting a layout.

Rename Current Layout

Lets you rename the current MotionBuilder window layout. See Creating, Updating, Renaming, and Deleting a layout.

Delete Layout

Lets you delete a MotionBuilder window layout by selecting it from a list.
