You can delete the Ruler via the tool ( ) arrow (context menu) or via the context menu in the scene. You can replace the Ruler via the Ruler tool context menu or by using the keyboard shortcut.
Since you can only have one Ruler in the scene, you need to either replace or delete the Ruler before you can create another
Ruler.
To delete the Ruler:
- Do either of the following:
- In the window Camera View Display toolbar options (), left-click the tool ( ) arrow (context menu) and choose .
- In the scene, right-click the Ruler measurement units and choose from the context menu.
To replace the Ruler:
- Do either of the following:
- In the window Camera View Display toolbar options (), left-click the tool ( ) arrow (context menu) and choose .
- Press Ctrl-Shift-R.
The cursor changes to a 2D cursor ( ).
- Hover over an object or element and click or click-hold to snap the "object" start point to the object or element.
- Hover over the second object or element and click or click-hold to snap the "object" end point to the object or element.
