Shape guides

You can modify the shape of XGen guides by selecting then editing the guide CVs. When you preview your Description, XGen applies the guide shapes to the primitives.

You can use also Utilities, such as Guides As Curves, Reshape Guide and Straighten Guide, to edit guides.

To shape guides

1. -click the guides you want to shape, and select Guide Control Points from the marking menu that appears.
2. Maya switches to component-selection mode, which lets you select CVs on the guides.
3. Use the Move, Rotate, and Scale tools to shape the guide.
   
4. Return to object-selection mode by -clicking a guide and selecting elect Object Mode from the marking menu that appears.

After shaping guides, you can

• Preview the position and appearance of the primitives controlled by the guides. See Preview generated primitives.
• Mirror guide position and shape. See Mirror guide position and shape
• Copy the a guide's shape and paste it to other guides. See Copy and paste guide shape.
