To automatically orient a joint’s local axes
- Select the joint whose local rotation axes orientation you want to set.
- Select Display > Transform Display > .
The current joint’s local rotation axes appear.
- In the menu set (press F2), select Skeleton > Orient Joint > .
- In the window that appears, set the options you want. (See Orient Joint Options.)
If you turn on , the Orient Joint Options apply to the selected joint(s) and all child joints. This can make it easier to apply a consistent
set of joint orientation settings to a large joint hierarchy.
- Click to reorient the current joint’s local rotation axes using the current settings and close the options window, or click to apply the settings and keep the open.
