Opens the Maya Atom Exporter Options window, which lets you specify which animation to export for the selected object(s), and how to export it. See also Export .atom animation.

Maya Atom Exporter Options

Atom file

Enter a name for the .atom file to be exported. Click the Browse icon to select a different directory.

Include

Set Driven Keys

When on, Maya includes driven keys in the saved animation file. When off, driven keys are ignored unless you turn on Baked Animation. Turning on Baked Animation lets you export the baked result of the driven key animation. See also Driven keys.

ImportantIf you include Constraints or Set Driven Key animation in your .atom file, you cannot do a simple import based on the character hierarchy. In the Maya Atom Importer Options, you'll need to set the Match Method to String or Map File in order to import the animation. (See Import .atom animation.)
Constraints

When on, Maya saves constraints in the saved animation file. Use this option if you want to continue modifying the constraint when you import the .atom file later.

When off, constraints are ignored unless you turn on Baked Animation, which lets you export the baked result of the constraint animation.

Animation Layers

When on, Maya saves data from the current animation layer.

Static Values

When on, Maya saves non-animated values (attributes that are not keyed and have no curves, such as the camera's Angle of view). When off, only animated values are saved.

Baked Animation

When on, Maya saves the baked result on a per-frame basis for channels that are driven by constraints, driven keys, or animation layers, as well as for any attribute driven by something other than an animation curve, or driven by a single animation curve that is driven by something else. Objects and attributes that are not driven by these connections keep their original animation with no baking applied.

When off, Maya saves any constraint, driven key, and animation layer connection networks, and so on, without baking the effect onto the objects.

NoteIf you turn on the Include options for Constraints and Driven Keys at the same time with Baked Animation, Maya saves the connection networks for driven keys, constraints, and animation layers and does not use the Baked Animation method.
Control Points

When on, Maya saves all the CVs, polygon vertices, and lattice points associated with a selected geometry shape (or the parent transform node of the geometry shape).

Hierarchy

Lets you specify whether Maya exports animation based on your selection only, the selected object hierarchy, or a template file. Select from the following options:

NoteIf you select more than one hierarchy, selection order is important. When you import this .atom file later, you must also select the target objects in the order that you want them to receive the imported animation.
Selected

Exports animation only for selected objects in the current hierarchy.

Below

Exports animation for the selected object and any child objects in the hierarchy.

Template

Lets you export animation based on a template file that you specify using the Template field. (The template file contains information on which objects, channels, and attributes are saved).

Channels

Lets you specify which channels to save for the selected object(s). Select from the following options:

All Keyable
Saves all keyable channels of the selected object’s animation.
From Channel Box

Saves only the channels selected in the Channel Box.

Time Range

Lets you specify which segment of animation to export. Select from the following options:

Time Slider

Exports all keyframe animation currently displayed in the Time Slider.

All

Exports all animation from the selected object(s).

Single Frame

Exports a single frame of animation (a single pose), based on the frame you enter in the Start Time field.

Start/End

Exports all animation in the range that you specify in the Start Time and End Time fields.

Start Time

Available only when the Time Range is set to Start/End. Lets you specify the first (or only) frame to be exported.

End Time

Available only when the Time Range is set to Start/End. Lets you specify the last frame to be exported.
